God Created Heaven and Earth
THE ORIGIN OF EVERYTHING
“In the beginning God created the heavens and
the earth.” (Ge 1:1) But how did he create
them? He spoke them into being out of nothing
(He 11:3). For example:
DAY 1 - God First Created the 24hr. Day/Night System, Light/Darkness“God said, ‘Let there be light; and there was light.’ God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day, and the darkness he called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.” (Ge 1:3-5)Note: Before creating anything else, God first created the 24 hour day/night system. He did this by creating light, naming it day. Then He separated that light, the day, from the darkness, which He Himself called night. So He made day and night, one day. Genesis summarizes and defines this day and night cycle as an evening and a morning, 1 day, not 1,000 days. These Bible truths clearly bear witness to a literal 6 days of creation, not 6,000 years or another sum. Even more, notice that for each of the 6 days of creation, the Bible specifically counts the days for us (it does the math for us, lest we come to the wrong conclusion), saying that there was evening and there was morning, a second day; evening and morning, a third day, etc. “Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts. By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day” (Ge 2:1, 2). Furthermore, what God completed did not need to evolve. With God, there is no such thing as evolution. There is reproduction and strains, but no evolution. .... more about this in the Bible Study on the Old Testament
