STEP 3 - Start Bible Study on Divine Regulations 1

1. READ: Know the God of the Scriptures, Do not Remain Ignorant of Him - Jesus told the woman at the well that she, and those like her, the Gentiles, truly did not know God, but His people did! The reason for this is that the Jews were the ones who received the holy Scriptures from God and brought forth the Messiah. Yet even many of the Jews who had these precious things did not truly know God. For example, their leaders decided to crucify the Lord! Today, Christians, especially the Gentiles, have been entrusted by God with the Gospel. Yet there are many, many Christians, who, because of their ignorance or evil conduct, do not truly know God. You must thoroughly understand which worshipers know God and which do not. By your conduct you must prove that you know God.

2. READ: Worship in Spirit, Not Flesh! - Jesus said to the woman at the well that true worshipers will worship God “in spirit.” He meant that they will worship God in a spiritual way, not a sensual way. God is a spirit and He therefore expects to be worshiped in a spiritual way, not a sensual, carnal, or fleshly way. You must understand the difference between spiritual and sensual worship. This applies to your singing, your teachings, the way you divide or name your church in distinction from others, and more. Do not miss this point! It is key to your success with God. For He cannot accept any form of worship that is contrary to His spiritual nature. He cannot accept sensual forms of worship.

3. READ: Worship in Truth, Not Error! - Jesus also taught the woman at the well that true worshipers will worship God “in truth.” He meant that they will worship God in a truthful way, not an erring, deceitful, or unrighteous way. God is the God of truth. In Him there is no lie. Likewise, He expects His children to worship Him in a truthful, not deceptive (or self-deceived), mistaken way. This is another point that you must not miss. It is also a key to your success with the God of truth. For He cannot accept any form of worship that is contrary to His truthful nature. He cannot accept erring forms of worship.

4. READ: The Characteristics and Habits of True Worshipers - A guide to help you, your family, and friends put these principles of true worship into practice in the church in your home or community.
